As one of Dublin’s largest sporting arenas and headquarters to the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association), Croke Park is a massive part of sporting history in Ireland.

The games stadium is named after Archbishop Thomas Croke, and holds the nickname ‘Croker’ to locals and fans.

For the two major annual events, Ireland football and hurling championship finals, crowds of up to 83,000 fans have been known to attend.

It need not be said that this stadium and grounds is a world renowned arena for sport.

Croke Park Philosophy

Croke Park is also a world leader in sustainability at their events.

The stadium received both ISO14001 and ISO20121 standards, and were the first stadium in the world to secure the former.

They focus on waste management, energy efficiency and biodiversity.

The team have ensured that for years now, the waste from the premises is diverted away from landfill.

They serve food and drink in compostable containers/ cutlery, and have water bottle refill points throughout.

They even have their own neighbourhood watch!

SURELIGHT

Surelight had the absolute pleasure of providing yet more energy efficient products to the premises, this time for the GAA Handball centre.

The effects of Surelight neon behind the laser-cut figures makes a fantastic impression from far away from the building itself.

Our architectural neon also holds colour changing features, which looks amazing through the laser-cut images too!
