BMWi have been named the title partner for this year’s Formula E season finale in Berlin.
BMWi are the sub-brand of the infamous car manufacturers, BMW. The brand is all about sustainability – dedicated to trying to develop sustainable solutions for the racing world.
Berlin’s Tempelhorf Airport will host the 14th and 15th rounds of the Formula-E series. The series is all electric, meaning that the cars are the height of research and development when it comes to electric vehicle production.
The E-Prix will be presented by CBMM Niobium, and will crown its first FIA World Champion since receiving the most prestigious status in racing events.
The Berlin E-Prix will make history another way too, in that it will be the first event since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic where tickets will be available to the general public. More than 10,000 grandstand seats are available for the highly anticipated event.
BMW At Home
The naming of the title partner as BMWi is a massive source of pride for BMW at their home event in Germany. It has been said that everyone at BMW is extremely excited to welcome thousands of German fans back to the grandstands after all of the uncertain time off.
Ones to watch…
British driver Jake Dennis has all eyes on him as he has secured two incredible victories this far in the Formula-E series.
As a ‘rookie’ Dennis is the underdog to watch in the final stages of the series. As a driver for BMWi’s Andretti Motorsport, this could be an incredible year for both BMWi and the young driver.
