Case Study Wood Norton Hall

Background

A new £1m wedding venue needed to create a fairy-tale feel to attract couples planning their big day. Wood Norton Hall in Worcestershire had recently completed the transformation of a state-of-the-art suite called The Orangery. Its designers, The Engineering Practice, needed an enchanting exterior lighting solution to complete the stunning refurbishment.

Challenges

The new lighting system had to work with the existing Lutron control system and create a dramatic effect which was as spectacular as the building itself.

Implementation

Surelight’s team conducted in-depth schematics and suggested several different ways of illuminating the building’s impressive glass frontage.

The project design team chose 20 Arcus II RGB colour changing LED wall washers to work with the building’s control system.
These amazing wall washers create dramatic effects and can produce up to 16 million colours, projecting the light to provide captivating effects. The versatility afforded by the almost limitless colour range means they can be easily suited to different events, themes and looks.

Benefits

The new venue looks as fabulous by night as it does by day. The £1m venue, which has beautiful views of the Malvern hills and sits in the grounds of a stately home, is a stunning place to tie the knot. The new lighting scheme sets the tone and perfectly aligns with the design of the building and the wider landscape.

We are really excited about the opening of The Orangery. We have heavily invested time in the design and execution of the build to create a stunning venue. The glass frontage is really special and the views it provides are phenomenal.
