Watch out for our Surelight electroluminescent materials at this year’s Glastonbury, the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world! Popular Scottish rock band Franz Ferdinand, ‘electro-pop-ist’ Frankmusik & new star thecocknbullkid will be playing at Glastonbury 2009 utilising our Surelight EL Panels & EL Wire!
For those of you who could snatch some Glastonbury tickets or for people who will be following this festival on the screen, watch out: Franz Ferdinand will be headlining on Saturday, 27 June 09 on the ‘Other Stage’ (10.50pm – 12.15am), Frankmusik will make an appearance on Sunday, 28 June on the ‘East Dance’ Stage (4.15pm – 5.15pm) & thecocknbullkid will hit the decks on Friday, 26 June at the ’Guardian Lounge’ .

Popstar Kylie Minogue uses our Surelight Neon Glow Wire to kick off her world tour KylieX2008 in Paris, France.
Hundreds of meters of our blue Super Bright Wire were used to create this fantastic glowing prop which is part of Kylie’s revealing spider-style purple dress. She is wearing it during the opening sequence of the show.

After the success of Kylie Minogue’s KylieX2008 tour which featured our glow wire, we are delighted to announce that another popstar discovered the beauty of Surelight Neon Glow Wire.
For his 2008 tour Pop Idol Will Young will be wearing a costume of quite a different nature – a boiler suit incorporating our glow wire.

“Deep within a forest, at the summit of a volcano, exists an extraordinary world — a world where something else is possible. A world called Varekai.” Varekai (which means ‘wherever’ in the Romani language) is a touring production of the world famous Cirque du Soleil that premiered in Montreal in 2002. This thrilling acrobatic show is touring through Spain and Surelight is part of it!
Several hundred meters of our orange Super Max glow wire illuminate Cirque du Soleil’s grandstand. Attached to the stairs our wire acts as low level lighting ensure saftey of all Varekai spectators. All glow wire lengths are controlled by our 8-channel DMX unit giving Cirque du Soleil’s staff full scope. Surelight also provided small lengths of our Surelight Neon Glow Wire that were attached to the rigging crew’s helmets. Luke Fitzgerald, Head Electrician at Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Varekai’ told us: “I installed your small sample wire on my Petzl helmet, and instantly I had all of our rigging crew come up to me and ask “where did that come from?”. It is particularly useful when working during Load out at night.”
The shows in Gijon, Spain start on 9 July 2009 so if you’re around make sure to see it and to look out for our glowing wire!

Surelight are excited to reveal these images of our Surelight wire incorporated into a stunning outfit and stage prop for the hotly-tipped new star ‘thecocknbullkid’, AKA Anita Blay.
Featuring a beautiful glowing heart crafted from red Surelight glow wire, concealed under a swathe of transparent gold fabric, this unique creation really wowed the crowds at the launch of her new single ‘I’m not sorry’ at the ICA in London in March. She performed in front of a giant heart and arrow with the name ‘thecocknbullkid’ outlined in Surelight glow wire, a fantastic addition to her show, which creates the illusion of a neon light, but with all the added benefits of our flexible glow wire. On the same night, fellow Surelight fan and our favourite rising star Frankmusik showed off his skills on the decks after the show alongside New Young Pony Club and Florence & the Machine.
Thecocknbullkid had previously featured on Jools Holland at the end of 2008, wearing a dress featuring a heart in the style of a mirror ball, but this time she wanted something new and exciting, and with the help of her glowing red heart, she looked amazing, and Surelight are delighted to have helped make it a night to remember.
These new designs were also featured at her recent appearance at the Royal Festival hall, so keep your eyes peeled for them at her live shows. Check out her myspace page for more details of upcoming events – this lady is gonna be big… watch this space!
