Watch out for our Surelight electroluminescent materials at this year's Glastonbury, the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world! Surelight Neon Glow Wire for Kylie Minogue's World Tour 2008!

Popstar Kylie Minogue uses our Surelight Neon Glow Wire to kick off her world tour KylieX2008 in Paris, France.

Hundreds of meters of our blue Super Bright Wire were used to create this fantastic glowing prop which is part of Kylie's revealing spider-style purple dress. She is wearing it during the opening sequence of the show.

After the success of Kylie Minogue's KylieX2008 tour which featured our glow wire, we are delighted to announce that another popstar discovered the beauty of Surelight Neon Glow Wire.

Surelight mingle with Spanish Cirque du Soleil spectators

"Deep within a forest, at the summit of a volcano, exists an extraordinary world — a world where something else is possible. A world called Varekai." Varekai (which means 'wherever' in the Romani language) is a touring production of the world famous Cirque du Soleil that premiered in Montreal in 2002. This thrilling acrobatic show is touring through Spain and Surelight is part of it!

Several hundred meters of our orange Super Max glow wire illuminate Cirque du Soleil's grandstand. Attached to the stairs our wire acts as low level lighting ensure saftey of all Varekai spectators. All glow wire lengths are controlled by our 8-channel DMX unit giving Cirque du Soleil's staff full scope. Surelight also provided small lengths of our Surelight Neon Glow Wire that were attached to the rigging crew's helmets. Luke Fitzgerald, Head Electrician at Cirque du Soleil's 'Varekai' told us: "I installed your small sample wire on my Petzl helmet, and instantly I had all of our rigging crew come up to me and ask “where did that come from?”. It is particularly useful when working during Load out at night."

The shows in Gijon, Spain start on 9 July 2009 so if you're around make sure to see it and to look out for our glowing wire!

Thecocknbullkid wows London with glowing hearts of Surelight wire

Surelight are excited to reveal these images of our Surelight wire incorporated into a stunning outfit and stage prop for the hotly-tipped new star ‘thecocknbullkid’, AKA Anita Blay.

Featuring a beautiful glowing heart crafted from red Surelight glow wire, concealed under a swathe of transparent gold fabric, this unique creation really wowed the crowds at the launch of her new single ‘I’m not sorry’ at the ICA in London in March. She performed in front of a giant heart and arrow with the name ‘thecocknbullkid’ outlined in Surelight glow wire, a fantastic addition to her show, which creates the illusion of a neon light, but with all the added benefits of our flexible glow wire. On the same night, fellow Surelight fan and our favourite rising star Frankmusik showed off his skills on the decks after the show alongside New Young Pony Club and Florence & the Machine.

Thecocknbullkid had previously featured on Jools Holland at the end of 2008, wearing a dress featuring a heart in the style of a mirror ball, but this time she wanted something new and exciting, and with the help of her glowing red heart, she looked amazing, and Surelight are delighted to have helped make it a night to remember.

These new designs were also featured at her recent appearance at the Royal Festival hall, so keep your eyes peeled for them at her live shows. Check out her myspace page for more details of upcoming events - this lady is gonna be big... watch this space!

Take 2: Surelight help Frankmusik light up the stage on 2009 tour

English piano rock band Keane asked 'electro-pop-ist' Frankmusik, who has remixed Keane's new single 'Perfect Symmetry', to support them on their massive 'Perfect Symmetry' arena tour. For this high-profile event Frankmusik had to make a great entrance. After the huge success in 2008, when Surelight came to rescue using a length of our Aqua EL strip to illuminate Frankmusik's mike stand on the Wonky Pop tour, Vincent and his crew returned to us once again. They were looking for a unique sign on stage incorporating the Frankmusik logo. In time for their gig at the Sheffield Arena on 6 February 2009, Surelight delivered a 2m long illuminated 'Frankmusik' sign using our white EL Panel. The sign joined Frankmusik on the rest of the tour.

Surelight feature in Dr Who Christmas Day Special!

On Christmas Day, our white glow wire featured on the BBC's Christmas Day Special Dr Who episode, 'The Runaway Bride'. Our Super Bright white glow wire appeared as part of The Empress of Rachnos's spidersweb, the Webstar.

The Runaway Bride is a special episode of the long running British science fiction television series Doctor Who, starring David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor. The special was produced for Christmas 2006, aired on December 25 (Christmas Day), and played much the same role that The Christmas Invasion did the previous year, introducing the third series while not actually being part of it. It features Catherine Tate as Donna, who appeared in the TARDIS at the end of the previous episode Doomsday.

Surelight help Frankmusik light up the stage on Wonky Pop tour!

During his recent tour, Vincent Frank, from Thornton Heath, London, AKA Frankmusik, and his crew, popped in to visit us at Surelight, hunting for a unique way to illuminate his microphone stand on tour in time for the show that night in Sheffield. Surelight came to the rescue using a length of our Aqua EL strip to create the ‘fluorescent strip light’ effect they were hoping for, and the neon mic stand took to the stage that night and joined Vincent on the rest of the tour.

Frankmusik was touring with chart sensations Alphabeat, and Leon Jean-Marie, as part of their joint ‘Wonky Pop’ tour around the UK.

Surelight 'make it happen' for Flashdance, the musical!

Here at Surelight, we're excited to announce our new project with Theatre Royal Plymouth for the new UK tour of 'Flashdance, the musical'. Surelight have provided the show with lengths of Surelight glow wire and our DMX units for some dazzling set designs, as well as a custom-made 'neon' style sign for the scenes in the 'Skindeep' club. The show has been touring since the end of July and has received rave reviews. Bruno Langley (Coronation Street), Bernie Nolan (The Bill, Brookside), and Noel Sullivan (Hear’Say) star alongside Victoria Hamilton-Barritt as Alex. The choreographer for the show is none other than Arlene Philips from shows such as 'Strictly come dancing' and 'DanceX'. You'd be a 'Maniac' to miss it!

We are proud to announce that Surelight made it into VOGUE magazine!

Channel 4's Stunning Glow Wire Adverts

Channel 4 recently released two adverts featuring our Surelight Glow Wire.

The first advert was to promote the Channel 4 Wireless Music Festival in 2006. Our Glow Wire was incorporated into several costumes for various performers and dancers, to create dramatic special effects. You have to see it to believe it!

Big Brother 5 uses Surelight Neon Glow Wire

Channel 4 utilised our wire for Big Brother in 2004. Several meters of our blue General Purpose (GP) wire were used to line the garden in Big Brother 5, the fifth series of Big Brother in the UK. Our Surelight Neon Glow Wire 'accompanied' the contestants from the start of the series on 28 May 2004 to the end on 6 August 2004.

Surelight for Daft Punk Double

For his 30th birthday, Derek Troy-West made a great entrance as Daft Punk double together with his partner. Derek bought several meters of our red Super Bright Glow Wire and sewed it into these fantastic costumes.

The glowing Daft Punk costumes were a huge success. Derek told us "We had a great night, everyone put lots of thought into their costumes and had a fun night out. The Daft Punk outfits were literally stopping people in the street at one point, so I guess that means they were a success :)"

Natural History Museum illuminates with Glow Wire

Using Purple and White Super Bright Surelight Glow Wire, Fisher Productions utilised our bespoke design services to the full, to create a stunning lighting design for the Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony at the Natural History Museum on 17 May 2007.

Their design included one of our 32 Channel DMX interface units, to power the wire. This allowed each wire to be controlled on seperate channels, creating fantastic special effects for the event; the wires rippled and chased each other at spectacular speeds. Fisher Productions told us: "Thank you for the great kit. The event was a huge success and the client was extremely happy. Look forward to working with you again."

Blacks incorporate our Neon Glow Wire into jackets for their high visability kids range

The outdoor activity retailer Blacks have, with our help, utilised our Surelight electroluminescent (EL) wire by incorporating it into their children's garments and rucksacks. As you can see, our LyTec wire is being used in children's high visability jackets to help illuminate them. These jackets have been a hit in their stores, and we have heard great reviews about them from the Blacks purchasing team.

Surelight also supplies our own safety jackets, Pulsarneon Garments. These safety garments employ a new innovative light system which meets EN471 safety standards and provides a higher visibility rate than average safety garments.

Surelight for Jack Frosts & Snow Queens at Birmingham's Gatecrasher Party

Surelight worked together with UK's leading body painter Neil Hughes and his team who have won numerous awards for their sculptural costumes featured in film, TV and theatre.

The result - these fantastic EL costumes which were designed for Birmingham's super club Gatecrasher. Different characters were produced for the club's resident hosts who entertain and host at the venue each week. The Jack Frosts and Snow Queens had our EL wire built into the costumes and wigs. Neil said: "Surelight's EL wire complimented the theme of ice and snow perfectly! "

The new Blu Ray High Definition DVD Point of Sale display units are all now incorporating our Surelight Super Bright Blue Neon Glow Wire into their designs.

You will see these Point of Sale stands all over the country, in major european retailers, illuminating the High Definition DVD Player with a fantastic blue glow.

Surelight light up the night and help raise money on Walk the Walk's Moonwalks!

This shiny gold satin dress uses gold EL wire to create a decorative flame detail. Specific fabrics were used to soften the hard lines of the EL wire. 'Fire Skirt' is motion-controlled to create a fiery animated effect when you walk.

This fantastic design was seen at the Southern Exposure Gallery, the SIGGRAPH Cyber Fashion Show, Maker Faire & ETech conference.

Surelight exhibiting at London's PLASA 07

After appearing at PLASA for the first time in 2005, we exhibited again this year. After several months of hard work it was time to present our newly designed products on the Surelight Stand at PLASA 07, the Professional Sound & Lighting Association. We had the unique opportunity to show some of the latest innovations in EL technology. Our new stand had a walk through facility showing the EL Glow Products & artworks from a variety of designers along with Surelight's latest innovations.

We are delighted to announce that this year’s show has already proven very successful. With our extraordinary stand we were a real eye-catcher. Trapped in a LED jungle we offered everyone the opportunity to see and touch unique beauty of our Surelight’s EL products. This year we also welcomed many guests from abroad helping us with our international quantum leap. Orders have flooded in from all over Europe, examples include festivals in Poland and Switzerland, promotional events in Italy and nightclubs in the UK.

A PLASA customer said to us at the show: “If I had only visited The Surelight Stand at Plasa today; my visit at PLASA would be regarded as a success!”

'The Osmond' members in neon for their 50^thanniversary reunion concert

Together with her friends, Jacquelyn Ryan was getting prepared for the 50^thanniversary reunion concert of ‘The Osmonds’. She wanted to design T-shirts and scarves that would make her & her friends stand out from the crowd. She was looking for something very special & unique. So she came to us. We provided her with a large amount of our Surelight Neon Glow Wire. Only a few weeks later Jacquelyn sent us an image of her ‘masterpiece’ incorporating our glowing wire - the names of all Osmond members written in neon!

With these T-shirts and scarves they would definitely attract attention. And they did. Jacquelyn was delighted to tell us that they were a great success at the concert, so much so that they were even filmed for ‘The Osmonds’ documentary, and their photo was taken for the Tour Book!

“The T-shirts were an absolutely resounding success! You could actually read the writing from the opposite side of the CIA from where we were sitting. EVERYBODY was talking about us. Many thanks for all your invaluable help during the making of the T-shirts. I couldn't have done it without you!” said Jacquelyn.

Surelight make Dublin's nightclub stand out

Our Surelight wire is the new highlight at "Howl @ The Moon", a luxurious bar & nightclub in Dublin. The bar is spread over four floors linked by a stunning spiral staircase.

AD Design installed several hundred meters of our blue Surelight Neon Glow Wire on these steel stairs to illuminate the nightclub. It really brings it to life at night!

Surelight wire for Couture Clubbing's new collection “Paradise Lost”

The fashion-entertainment label ‘Couture Clubbing’ is the innovative idea bought about by two Central Saint Martins graduates Amy Winters and Kseniya Zagorodnyuk.

Their latest ‘Paradise Lost’ collection is based on the epic poem by John Milton. It describes the journey of The Fall of man from the perspective of Satan. Every single outfit represents a character or an episode from the poem. Innovative fabrics used in the collection react to sound, light and atmosphere.

Surelight supply the "glowing thread" for the opening night of 'Stich-Up' - a new live music/cabaret show in London

For his new show 'Stitch-Up', a new live music/cabaret show in London, Robbie Moore was looking for a unique backdrop for the stage. He stumbled across our website and was amazed at our Surelight Neon Glow Wire. Robbie said "It would be absolutely perfect to create the 'stitched on' effect of the backdrop!"

No sooner said than done, a few days later Robbie received our white Glow Wire. Shortly after, this beautifully glowing backdrop was created, in time for the first 'Stitch-Up' night on 16 January 2009. Robbie told us "The backdrop looks amazing, the first night was last Friday, and it was a great success!"

Surelight illuminates one hundred "glass kisses"

Numerous Surelight EL Panels highlighted Charlie Murphy's glass "kiss sculptures" displayed at London's Science Museum. 'The Observer' stated: "Couples have lined up at London's Science Museum for the ultimate Valentine's Day present - their kisses sealed for eternity in glass." Participants were asked to chew a special dental paste before kissing for 90 seconds as the mixture set. Surelight collaborate with light artists for Illumini exhibition in London

From the 4th - 17th September, Surelight EL wire was incorporated into unique light sculptures at the new 'Illumini' exhibition in the Crypt at St Pancras Church (near Euston station, London).
Designers Jane Webb and Vincenzo Di Maria used Surelight glow wire to fantastic effect in their designs as part of this extraordinary exhibition of light. Surelight were one of the main sponsors of the event and worked closely with the designers to bring their creations to life. Surelight create a visual spectacle for Art Car FM

Art Car FM, also called Victor the Volvo, is the world's first permanently touring radio station. Swervy World 'pimped' several parts of the Art Car FM with our Surelight Neon Glow Wire, such as the FM tower and the front.

Glowing Victor was seen last at the New Year's Eve parade 2008 in Newcastle. Art Car FM & our Surelight wire will be going on tour soon so keep your eyes peeled!

Surelight light up the Peak District

Night Stations is a series of site-specific light installations set in the nocturnal landscape created by artist Charles Monkhouse. Placed mainly in the rural environment, particularly Derbyshire and Cumbria, they are often on a vast scale, inviting the audiences to reconsider their assumptions about the land.

One of a series of studies to test technologies and procedure, April Cottage Void, was a pilot for the Storey Gallery proposal. The image draws an exact projection of the inside of the cottage on its exterior walls.

The use of Surelight electroluminescent wire extends a tradition of lit signs and neon images into the twenty-first century. Electroluminescence, first used in car dashboards by Chrysler in the 1960's , is now available in infinitely long lengths of wire. Easily manipulated, Surelight EL wire provides the perfect drawing medium for the nocturnal image.

Danish artist Wayandy (alias Anders Vejen) used our Surelight Neon Glow Wire for "The Scented" - a solo performance created by Ingrid Kristensen.

It incorporates scent, dance and sound into a sensuous experience. The performance is to be shown in churches and marketplaces.
